  AARON DAVIS, who died at Sandy Hook, Newtown, Oct. 12, 1881, was a son of David Davis, of Southbury, who lived to be one hundred and one years of age, and was a soldier of the Revolution.
     Our subject was born in Southbury, whence in early life he removed to Sandy Hook and there died, in his seventy-ninth year.  He as a farmer and owned a farm.  In religious belief he was a Methodist.  He married early in life and had eleven children, eight of whom grew to maturity.  At his death he left a widow and five children.
