Mil:  He joined the militia and was at siege of Boston in Capt. Trowbridge's Co.  In 1777 he enl. for  3 yrs.  In 1781 he was wounded at Fort Griswold when it was attacked.  He rolled down the embankment into the Thames river but was rescued by comrades who returned to bury the dead.
