Weddings at Taylorville.
STATE REGISTER SPECIAL SERVICE
Taylorville, Ill., Dec. 3. - Miss Julia Stevens,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Stevens of Taylorville, was
married last Thursday in Decatur to William Hennebra, a
clothing merchant of that city. The ceremony was performed at
the Catholic church, the Rev. Father Murphy, officiating.
The bride was formerly a teacher in the Taylorville public schools.
Miss Marietta Goodrich, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Goodrich, was married at 6 o'clock Sunday evening, at
the bride's residence to Bernice Hurlbutt of Stonington
township, the Rev. E. K. Shults, pastor of the Baptist
church, officiating. The couple will reside on a farm in
Stonington townshp.
HAUBNER - WALKER.
STATE REGISTER SPECIAL SERVICE
Taylorville, Ill., Dec. 3, - Miss Elnora Walker,
daughter of Elijah Walker, will be married to Louis
Haubner at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening, by the Rev. Z. Moore,
pastor of the Christian church. Fifty invitations have been
issued to the affair. The couple will reside on a farm, two
miles west of Taylorville
SCHAFER - TRAYLOR
STATE REGISTER SPECIAL SERVICE
Taylorville, Ill., Dec. 3, - Herbert Schafer and
Miss Leathea May Traylor, both of Litchfield and prominent
young people, were married at the court house yesterday evening at 5
o'clock by Judge Grassel. The groom is a plasterer of
Litchfield and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Schafer.
MARTIN - BOST
STATE REGISTER SPECIAL SERVICE
Taylorville, Ill., Dec. 3, - Miss Ottie Gannon
of this city entertained friends last night in honor of Miss
Zella Bost. The surprise of the evening was the
announcement of the engagement of Miss Bost to Larne
Martin. It is stated that the wedding will take place
sometime during the holidays.
VERMILLION - SHANKS
STATE REGISTER SPECIAL SERVICE
Pana, Ill., Dec. 3, - Charles Vermillion and Miss
Elsie Shanks, of Pana drove to Shelbyville yesterday and were
married by the Rev. Henry. The couple then returned to
Pana where they have commenced housekeeping. The contracting
parties are well known. |

Weddings at Taylorville.
STATE REGISTER SPECIAL SERVICE
Taylorville, Ill., Nov. 27, - A marriage license was
issued this afternoon to G. A. Simpson of Pana, aged 23, and
Miss Grace Lowe of Taylorville, aged 17. The couple
will be married Sunday at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. George D.
Lowe, parents of the bride.
A marriage license was issued today to George
Ridgeway, aged 20, and Miss Grace Phelps, aged 16, both
of Assumption. The couple were married this eveining at the
home of the bride.
Fred Cooden? of this city, who was a pitcher
last season on the Oil Tank league base ball team, was married
Friday night to Miss Nelie Hoy of Streator the ceremony being
performed at the residence of Rev. M. W. Yocom, pastor of the
Christian church. The groom is a miner. |
