GILLUM
COLUMBIANA – Ruby E. Gillum, 91 of Columbiana, Ohio and a former
Creek Rd.,
Kingsville resident, died Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Salem
Community Hospital.
Mrs. Gillum lived in Kingsville until 1990. She
was born in Cumberland County, Illinois on July 1, 1913 a daughter
of the late William H. and Cora M. (Sherman) Stewart.
A homemaker, Mrs. Gillum was an active member of the
Amboy United Methodist Church and it’s Happy Oldsters, Loyal Bereans
and Sunday School Class.
While in Columbiana she attended the East Fairfield
United Methodist Church and its Beacon Light Class. She also enjoyed
gardening, cooking for family and friends. Mrs. Gillum was also a
member of Rose Chapter #22, Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Susan E. (Wayne) Cope
of Columbia and Carolyn A. (George) Puffer of West End, North
Carolina and a son Arnol Thomas Gillum of Mansfield, Ohio. There are
seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren also surviving.
Mrs. Gillum was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband Arnol F. on April 3, 1984; seven sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the
MARCY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER, 208 Liberty Street,
Conneaut. The Rev. Gina Kim of Amboy UMC and Rev. Mitchael
Hennessey of East Fairfield UMC will officiate with Rose Chapter #22
OES will conduct services also.
Burial will follow the service in Greenlawn Memory
Gardens. Calling hours will be on hour prior to the service and
the family requests memorial contributions be given to either of the
churches. |
