NOTES:
Ezra Hanger may not buried there,
though he is listed there in the
1929 Roll of Honor. Some
extensive research on the veterans buried in Pea has
been done by
Greg
Hamblin and he states that he is named
Elza, not Ezra
and appears to have
moved west to
Nebraska, where he started
drawing a
disability pension in 1889 and where he continued to
appear in the census until 1920. His
wife filed for a
widow's pension in February 1926, and so he
must have died
early that year or perhaps in late 1925.
