GENERAL:
      I have the honor to transmit herewith, for publication, the records of deceased Union soldiers interred in the National Cemeteries at Baltimore, Md. Petersburg, Va., New Berne, N. C., Florence, S. C. (being in addition to those published in "roll of Honor" No. 14, General Orders No. 7, Quartermaster General's Office, February 20, 1868,) BATON ROUGE, LA., FORT ST. PHILIP, LA., JEFFERSON CITY, MO., and various Posts in the States of MINNESOTA and NEW MEXICO, and ARIZONA, COLORADO, DAKOTA, INDIAN, MONTANA, UTAH, and WASHINGTON TERRITORIES.
     The within "Roll of Honor" records the burial places of 17,443 deceased Union soldiers, whose names, as far as known, are alphabetically arranged, with a full letter index, according to the place of internment, and with a brief preface to each list, giving a short history of the Cemetery where they are interred.
