WILLIAM BUCKALEW DEAD
William S.
Buckalew, aged 18 years, died yesterday
morning at the home of his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles R. Buckalew, at 155 East Market
Street, after an illness of typhoid fever.
The young man was born in this city and for a
time he was employed by the Adams and United
States Express companies. For about a year
he owned and conducted the lunch wagon opposite
the local Lehigh Valley station. |

PITTSTON MAN DEAD
Anthony J. Clifford, a well known resident of Upper
Pittston, died last evening at 10 o'clock at his
home, North Main Street, after a nine months'
illness of dropsy aged 41 years. |

FUNERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
The funeral of Mr. Stephen M. Roberts will be
held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home
of Mr. Richard W. Lewis, 34 Lee Park
avenue. Interment will be made in
Hollenback cemetery.
The funeral of Mr. John McAsy (McAny?), who died
at Montclair, N. J., Hospital on Thursday, will
be held at the undertaking parlors of William
E. Doron & Sons, 84 and 86 North Washington
Street, tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon at 2
o'clock. Rev. Mr. Cowell, of
Bennett Memorial Church, will officiate and
interment will be made in the Woodlawn cemetery
at Dallas.
The funeral of Mrs. Bridget Farrell, of Sugar
Notch, will be held from the family home Monday
morning at 8:30 o'clock. A high mass of
requiem will be celebrated at St. Charles'
Church at 9 o'clock and interment will be made
in St. Charles' cemetery.
The funeral of Mrs. August Hohlfield will take
place from the family home, 13 Gildersleeve
street, Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock instead of
2 as previously announced. Services will
be conducted at the residence by Rev. L.
Lindenstruth and interment will be made in
Hollenback cemetery.
The funeral of Charles H. Marcy will be held
from the family home, 442 South River street,
Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Interment
will be made in Sunnyside cemetery, Tunkhannock. |
