Houston regarded him so highly that he had a
painting of him made. This was after the
Battle of San Jacinto. The original was
given the san Jacinto Chapter of the Daughters
of the Republic of Texas by Houston Williams, a
grandson of General Houston. Itnow hangs
in the Public Library, Houston, Texas. |
