HUNT -
John Hunt lived in Herkimer County ca 1801 to
sometime between 1810 - 1820.
Appears in 1810 census there only (Town
of Russia) and in land records with
Susan Hunt in 1835. Hunt
family lived in the Cold Brook
Hamlet of that Town. Several
family members moved to Ohio and
Pennsylvania in the 1850s. A
number of intermarriages with the
Walters family. There appears
to be nothing on Find A Grave. 6
of his 8 children have been identified;
looking for two Hunt daughters,
one born around 1793 and the other
1805-1810. Russia borders Oneida
County.
John Hunt had a son, Addison
who married a
Walters
and then when she died he married her
sister.
Addison's
sister's son married a
Walters.
Another
Hunt
also married a
Walters,
but I don't remember who.
Addison
was born 1806-7 in Russia, NY. He
married
Julia
Walter
(b. 1811) who died c 1831 in Russia and
is buried in a cemetery there. He
then married her older sister
Judith,
b 1807 and they had 5 kids, the oldest
of which,
Truman F.,
was born in Russia in 1834-6

POOL -
Zalmon Pool and wife Zerviah / Zurviah,
also in Trenton, Oneida County (across
the creek). Moved to Champion, NY
in Jefferson County.
She was Zerviah or Zurviah Sibley
Pool and related to the Sibley
family of Salem Witch Trials.

Daniel Corp, died age 106.
Father of Mary Corp Pool.
Looking for his parentage. I
believe he was a relative of the locally
famous Benejah Pool, They
were all originally from Rhode Island.
Migrated to Jefferson / St. Lawrence
Counties.
He is somehow related to
Benajah Corp.
I think they were cousins somehow.
They were both from RI, both moved to
Stephentown, NY, and
Benajah
named a son
Daniel.
They both moved to the Russia, NY area
(Trenton, NY where
Daniel
was is situated across the town line
from Russia.
