Sarah White born 1753. One internet
database gives her parents as Daniel and
Mary from Oyster Bay, NY and there was a
Sarah White born to them in 1753. No
connection between Daniel and Schoharie that
I have found. Sarah has traditional descent
from William White of the Mayflower
and also Massasoit. She was supposedly an Indian
(Stockbridge tribe, which included Wampanoags at
that time). She married Jehoiakim Burgett
1770. They possibly lived in the German,
Chenango County area. Their daughter Judith
married Josiah Dodge and one of their
children was named Skipper Dodge
(after his ancestor, Rev. William
Skipper) and another named William
White Dodge.
