Joseph J. Panzica, 76
     LASALLE - Joseph J. Panzica, 76, of LaSalle, died at 6:15 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 24, 1997, in his home.  Born in LaSalle to Nick and Carmella Pagoria Panzica.  Married Ruth Orr on May 21, 1946, in St. Patrick Catholic Church, LaSalle.  Employed as an estimator by Ricci Construction Co. until retiring U. S. Army veteran of World War II.  Member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.  Former LaSalle alderman.  President of the board at Lighted Way Children's Developmental Center.  Member of LaSalle County Board.  Active in the Department of Illinois VFW.  Member of Illinois Valley Contractors Association.  Survivors include wife, Ruth; daughter, Dr. Patricia Pnzica-Brown of Rockford; son, Joseph J. Panzica, Jr.; three grandchildren; sisters, Jennie (Carl) Kirar of Peru, Ill., and Alice Koyak of Loves Park; brother, Anton Panzica of Hinsdale.  Predeceased by parents; a son in infancy; one sister and three brothers.
     Services were Monday, Apr. 28, in Hurst Funeral Home and in St. Patrick Catholic Church, LaSalle.  Burial, with military honors, was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.  Memorials to Lighted Way Children's Developmental Center or charity of choice.
