* Samuel Walker was granted his first license
"to still strong waters & to retale the same" in
Woburn, and instead of being the first innholder at
Woburn as has been stated, by Sewall
(Hist. Woburn, page 170), he was the third,
being preceded by Joseph Carter and "John
Seir." (See notes under Carter and
Sears.) Thomas Walker kept an ordinary at
Sudbury. In 1682, Henry Somers
succeeded Samuel Walker as innkeeper in
Woburn.
In the suit of Dutton vs Bacon in April,
1668 (see note under Dutton), Israel
Walker aged about 70, testified.
