A daughter of James and Elizabeth Wright, and a sister to Elizabeth Wright and Mary Wright, each of whom married a Kittredge.  There were younger sisters, Ruth, born about 1723, and Rachel, born about 1733, and brothers, James, Joseph, Thomas and Nathaniel.  On the decease of the father in 735 all the real estate subject to the widow's dower was set off to the third son, Thomas.  John Holt and his wife Sarah, about 748 or earlier, were the owners of what is now known as the Reuel Carter homestead on Main street in North Woburn, near the Wilmington line.  In 1849 Holt and his wife conveyed it to James Sawyer, "Leather Dresser," and bounded it south by land of Daniel Fisk; east, on land of Dea. Josiah Wright, deceased; north, on land of Giles Alexander, and west on the road.  Sawyer became an innholder, and mortgaged the property to Harvard College, by whom it was assigned to Giles Alexander.  The latter apparently foreclosed the mortgage, and in 1752 conveyed it to William Tay, Jr.  See, further, an article in "The News" of Woburn, April, 1891, on estates in North Woburn, written by the late Cyrus Thompson.
