MARTIN LANNING, Farmer, Sec. 2; P. O.
Manchester; owns 60 acres of land; born in Schenectady Co.,
N. Y., Sept 18, 1806; came to this county in Oct., 1852;
married Mrs. Nancy Grommon, who died Feb. 23, 1875;
has six children - Sarah J., born July 12, 1840;
Ransom, Apr. 15, 1842; Nathan, May 20, 1844;
Harriet, Mar. 25, 1846; Eliza M. married Thos.
Elder, May 16, 1872; they have two children - Lyle,
born Nov. 14, 1874, and Clark, Aug. 30, 1877.
