Wilson, Elmwood NOTE:  Not sure if this is same as A. Wilson * WILSON, A., res. Elmwood, superintendent of paper mill, was born July 16, 1833, at Sand Lake, Rensselaerville, N. Y.  Up to 1850 his father was extensively engaged in the milling and woolen manufacturing business, of which he learned a practical knowledge.  In 1853 he became engaged in the manufacturing of paper, millwrighting, and machinists' work, and has continued this line of business up to the present time.  Has aided in repairing and building several new mills, both East and West.  Immigrated to the West in the Spring of 1861, and located at Beloit, Wis., following principally his present line of business.  In 1865, came to Illinois, and has remained in this State since.  Has been a resident of Peoria Co. for the last thirteen years, located in Elmwood in the employ of the Elmwood Paper Manufacturing Company since.
