     At her residence on the Macadamized road Oct. 19, 1873, Mrs. Phillinda wife of James Terwilliger.
     Mrs. Terwilliger was born in Jefferson county, N. Y., Feb. 26, 1812, and moved to Oregon in 1847.  Funeral from her late residence to-day at 10 A. M., Friends of the family are invited to attend.

MISS LIDA RUMBAUGH DIES
Southern Pacific Agent Succumbs After Operation in San Francisco
     MISS Lida H. Rumbaugh, for more than 15 years ticket agent in the East Morrison street depot, died in San Francisco yesterday following an operation.
     She is survived by three brothers, D. W. Rumbaugh, Frank Rumbaugh and Joseph Rumbaugh;  two sisters, Mrs. C. E. Fields, of 475 Pacific street, Portland, and Mrs. Johnson Porter, of Corvallis.  The body will be brought to Albany, Or., for interment.

Two Hundred and five deaths of Oregon pioneers were recorded during the year ended June 1, 1915, according to the annual necrology prepared by George H. Himes, of the Oregon Historical Society.  Of the total number of pioneers dying, 72 were members of the Oregon Pioneer Association.

Oregon Association Finds Only Small Number of 343 Dying Meet Requirements.
LIST IS NEARLY ACCURATE.
Effort to Mingle With Fellow Early Residents May Have Helped Effect Duration of Life, Says George H. Himes.
    
The death roll from June 1, 1916, to May 31, 1917, among those in the Pacific Northwest who are recognized as pioneers by the rules of the Oregon Pioneer Association is impressive.  It is probable that the list is not wholly accurate, although much effort with that end in view has been put forth by George H. Himes, secretary of the Pioneer Association.  It is worth noting that of the 33 deaths reported only 52 were members of the association.  "Perhaps the effort on the part of those who became members of the association to mix up with their fellow pioneers in the social amenities of life with the accompanying growth of good fellowship may have had an appreciable effect upon the duration of their lives." said Mr. Himes in announcing the list, which follows:
