The first election in Bremen Township was held at the house
of Franz Shultz, May 3, 1858. The officers
elected were Francis Rubly, Justice of the
Peace; Clemens Bockenstedt, Clerk; Joseph
Lechtenberg, Anthony Lippert, August
Wander, Trustees; Franz Shultz,
Assessor.
