Judge Burke yesterday heard a number of
registration cases and ordered the names of Gustav
Bauernachafer, of 102 Eastern avenue, Highlandtown,
to be placed upon the books of the Fourth precinct of
the Twelfth district and that of Charles J. F. Miller
to be entered on the books of the Second precinct of
the Eighth district.
The petitions of Ransom Bryant, Otis H. Stocksdale,
Simon E. Bond, Horace T. Sedgwick and Louis
Trieachman were dismissed. The petitions of
Albert J. Meller to have stricken from the
list the name of Alfred Jones, colored, who had
been convicted of larceny; of Charles de Oms, Louis
A. Bupp, Barnard Shreve and Edward Matthews
were postponed. |

Will of J. Thomas
Carter.
By the will of John Thomas Carter, former
road supervisor of the Fourteenth district of Baltimore
county yesterday probated in the Orphans' Court at
Towson, he leaves his property to his widow, Mrs.
Augusta B. Carter for life or until she remarries,
adn names her executrix. The will was executed
March 27, 1907.

Husband Must Pay Cost Of Appeal.
Judge Duncan filed an opinion yesterday in the
Circuit Court at Towson in which he holds that John
N. Poehlmann must pay the $200 costs of transmitting
the appeal of Mrs. Ella L. Poehlmann from the
decree granting her husband an absolute divorce, $100
counsel fee and $1 per week alimony, pending the
termination of the case.
Mr. Poehlmann had asked that the appeal be
dismissed on the ground that the record had not been
sent to the Court of Appeals within the required time,
but Judge Duncan holds that the reason the record
was not sent was the failure of Mr. Poehlmann to
pay the costs. |
